If you have a vehicle already registered in the EC the process is fairly easy, but if it’s registered in UK, the USA or elsewhere it is likely to involve a series of visits to the Douane (customs), the DREAL (transport bureau) and workshops to get any necessary modifications. However if you import it as you move to France its a lot simpler.
